(FGC), also known as female genital mutilation (FGM) or female circumcision, refers to "all procedures involving partial or total removal of the external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs whether for cultural,realious or other non-therapeutic reasons." Female Genital Circumcision is practiced throughout the world, but the practice is concentrated more heavily in Africa, Indonesia, and the Middle East.
I can not believe what a horrible thing could be done to a woman. I hardly understand the circumcision on men, but on women is outrageous. I once saw a movie, Nip/Tuck, and in one episode a patient asked for a procedure on her vagina, cause in her country, when you are born as a woman you will have your clitoris cut. The reason?? Because they have no right to feel pleasure, just men are allowed to have it.
